
Welcome Diona Watkins and Selma Sahin!
Alexandria Place Therapy welcomes two new wonderful addition to our clinical team: Diona Watkins and Selma Sahin. We are grateful to Diona and Selma for choosing us and allowing us to grow and serve the needs of our community!
Diona Watkins
Diona is a Graduate Level Counseling Intern attending Capella University and under the Supervision of Megan Fiore, PsyD., RPT-S. Diona has experience with clients struggling with addiction, mood disorders, and trauma. She believes everyone, at some point in their lives, needs assistance navigating difficult periods. Diona’s passion is centered on social equality and promoting self-esteem and self-value for everyone.

Selma Sahin, MS
Selma is a Resident in Counseling, under the supervision of Sarah Briggs, LPC, RPT-S. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Human Development and Family Studies from the University of Connecticut and her Master’s degree in Professional Counseling from Texas State University. While working on her degrees, she also received trainings in Play Therapy, Child-Parent Relationship Training, Theraplay®, and Animal-Assisted Counseling models.
Selma works with children, adolescents, adults, and families supporting clients through anxiety, depression, adjustments and life transitions, grief and loss, and relational struggles. Selma values forming a trust-based relationship in counseling to create a healing environment where compassion and kindness become healing agents to empower the client.
