Meet Our Team

My passion is helping kids tap into their unique strengths so they can be their most authentic, confident, and best selves. I have over 20 years of experience working with children and families in both educational and counseling settings.

I am currently an MSW Supervisee working towards becoming a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology as well as both a Masters in Social Work and a Master of Arts in Elementary Education from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. Additionally, I have clinical experience providing individual, group, and family therapy to children, adolescents, and parents. I have enjoyed working in community-based settings to provide intensive in-home counseling as well as outpatient therapy settings.

Professionally, I have experience working with children struggling with emotional regulation, anxiety, ADHD, oppositional and defiant behavior, learning disabilities, obsessive compulsiveness (OCD), behavior challenges, and developmental delays. I also have experience supporting parents and families as they navigate challenges and improve communication and relationships. Just as importantly, I have experience parenting a child with special needs (now an adult with a developmental disability) due to a genetic syndrome. This lived experience has allowed me a unique perspective on how I approach therapy because I understand the emotional journey it takes to navigate developmental delays and differences, diagnosis, special education processes, and the importance of securing support that’s in the best interest of your child.

I utilize a range of treatment modalities and strategies including CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), play therapy, DBT (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy), and Collaborative Problem Solving. I believe in a humanistic, strengths-based approach when working with kids and families. I am also passionate about self-growth and supporting individuals as they explore and shift disabling belief systems to create their most fulfilling lives. I am grateful to join the amazing team of professionals at Alexandria Place Therapy and look forward to working with you!
