Supporting LGBTQIA2S+ Youth
In this 90-minute educational workshop, participants will learn about:
- The difference between sex, gender, and sexuality
- The gender binary and expansive identities
- The components of the LGBTQIA2S+ acronym
- Stereotypes, stigma, and shame
- The unique needs of QT-BIPOC* youth
- Ways to support LGBTQIA2S+ children and teens
*We’re using the term QT-BIPOC as a placeholder for queer and trans youth with multiple racial, ethnic, cultural, and ancestral identities. We recognize the multiplicities of differences in both the current experiences and histories of those who are often included in this acronym and will address this during the workshop.
